Hello faithful vultures,
I have a few things to talk about here–it’s been a highly eventful past week, with the release of SAMSARA, as well as the album release party + more. I have chronicled it in the form of entries.

SAMSARA is here & now—everywhere online & in some spaces, physically. I am thrilled to offer CDs and stickers at the moment (zines & more soon). May SAMSARA find a home in your heart.
Massive thank you to my dear friend Jenna Vargas for hand-illustrating SAMSARA’s cover art. I presented Jenna with this album’s central concepts and Jenna transmuted them into this intricate, tragically gorgeous image. The shapeshifting entity that traverses these symbolic forms is bound in its proximity to cycles of decay and rebirth. Even digestion is some quiet kind of samsara.
As I have written in the physical liner notes:
This project is something of flesh and sinew. Listen with the lights off and an open heart. Thank you to everyone who listens to & otherwise supports Planet Bones. I am so profoundly overjoyed to share this project with you.

Yesterday evening’s album release party went so incredibly beautifully. I appreciate everyone who attended, listened thoughtfully, asked interesting questions, discussed the project, bought merch [the CDs are low on stock now!], and expressed kind words. For those who listen to Planet Bones from further realms, thank you too. I appreciate all the support and listenership, whether it’s from the past or the future.
There was a wonderful discussion following the stream about the album’s visual and thematic motifs (and what they mean, where they come from, etc) as well are the broader artistic philosophy of this project (and Planet Bones). My friend Jackie brought up the idea of every album of mine being an artistic rebirth. I agree.

This is a quick capture from my phone. There were people standing all around and behind the right side row as well. It was such a transcendent feeling–to be encircled like that with SAMSARA in the air. There will be many more images. Some are currently in development.

These three photos were taken by my friend Audrey Gemperle, after the stream of the album. People were talking, taking photos, and huddling around the merch table.

I also have a new music video out for the second track of SAMSARA, “Ouroboros”. I directed, shot, and edited it, and my friend Isabelle Cherubin choreographed and moved in it. The creative process of this music video was beautiful & transformative in a way that encapsulated and mirrored the shapeshifting of “Ouroboros” thematically. Deepest gratitude to Isabelle and her shadow for bringing this concept of introspection to the point of self-cannibalization to life with her transcendent movements and spirit. This vignette of rebirth and desecration is dear to me.

I am currently working on the zine for SAMSARA and can’t wait to share it. It will be available at future shows and on Bandcamp. This Saturday will be my first Los Angeles show (and headline). It will be at Junior High in Glendale, at 7pm (with support from my dear friend Rivelino).
There will be more from me soon. Thank you for listening to & supporting my work.
